 Our standard call-out fee for domestic work is £100, which covers the electrician’s attendance and initial assessment for the first hour. After this, work is charged at £50 per hour for call-outs, general maintenance, and repairs. Our standard call-out fee for commercial work is £165, which covers the electrician’s attendance and initial assessment. After this, work is charged at £85 per hour for call-outs, general maintenance, and repairs.

 Please note that prices may vary for out-of-hours work or Sunday visits. This structure ensures transparency, while allowing us to provide a fair and accurate price based on the specific work required. 

Domestic Rewiring 

 Single Room / Minor Rewire £600 – £1100 Ideal for small kitchens, bathrooms, or single rooms. Includes sockets, lighting, and minor circuit work

 .1–2 Bedroom Flat / House £2,500 – £3,500 Full rewire of small residential property, including new consumer unit, sockets, and lighting circuits.

3 Bedroom House £3,500 – £5,500 Standard full rewire, including consumer unit upgrade, lighting, sockets, and earthing/bonding.

 4–5 Bedroom House £5,500 – £8,000 Larger properties with multiple floors and rooms; may include multiple consumer units or complex wiring. 

 Extensions / Renovations From £1,000 Additional work for home extensions or loft conversions; pricing varies depending on size and circuits. 

Note:   

• Additional factors affecting price include access to walls/ceilings,  number of sockets/lighting points and if property is occupied or not.
   

All work is tested, certified, and fully compliant with BS 7671 regulations.

Commercial Rewiring.

Commercial rewires can vary greatly because every building and electrical system is unique. A site visit is always necessary to accurately assess the work and provide a fair, tailored quote.

Pricing can be affected by factors such as:

• Building size and number of floors
• Number of circuits and distribution boards 
• Three-phase vs single-phase supply
• Access and installation complexity (walls, ceilings, or hard-to-reach areas) 
• Additional systems (lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, data cabling) 
• Health & safety requirements and working hours 
• Client-specific needs (phased work, special equipment)

A site visit allows us to assess all these factors, plan the work safely, and provide a transparent, accurate quote for your project.

 Our minimum call-out fee is £100, which applies if PAT testing is the only work at the property. This covers travel, setup, and certification time. Additional appliances are charged at £3 per item. If we are already working on site, the first ten appliances are charged at £70, with £3 per item thereafter. This includes a visual inspection, electrical test, and a certificate issued upon completion. 

 As an Aico Approved Installer, we only supply and install fully compliant smoke, heat, and carbon monoxide alarms, meeting current Scottish legislation. All alarms are correctly sited, interlinked, tested,  commissioned and certified ensuring your property is safe, compliant, and future-proof.

Individual Alarm Replacement / Upgrade  Prices from £150 Like-for-like replacement or upgrade of existing compliant alarms. 

Full interlinked battery system - Standard 2 story dwelling - £430

 Prices below indicative for a fully hard wired new installation

1 Bedroom Flat £300 – £450 Smoke, heat, and CO alarms installed to current standards, fully interlinked and tested.

2 Bedroom Flat / House £450 – £600 Full compliant system including required alarm coverage and commissioning.

3 Bedroom House £600 – £800 Multi-alarm system covering circulation spaces, living areas, and kitchens as required.

4–5 Bedroom House £800 – £1,100 Larger properties with additional alarms and interlinking.
